Reflections On:

The difference between men and women

After observing life for these many years I am convinced that the Women's Lib bunch took us for a ride. There ain't no way that men and women are equal. I am not sure why, but women think different, act different and are different than men in more ways than just plumbing. I do believe the difference is attributable more to hormones or body chemistry than to our cultural environment which the behaviorist would have us believe. I was never so convinced until we had a granddaughter. We had no daughters. But, watching my granddaughter grow up, she does girlish things not because we treat her like a girl or any different than our grandsons but because she is a girl.

I read this somewhere: "There is a big difference between equality and egalitarianism. To say that everyone is the same is to deny something profound; in diversity lies survival."

Women are different alright, but as Adam Bonner played by Spencer Tracy in the movie Adam's Rib said: "Vive la difference!".
